As ever, dining trains provided a mainstay of the season, with M.N.Ry. No.4 Caledonia being used on many of these as seen below, in this instance The Manxman lunch train which operated regularly on a Sunday using Castletown as its terminus.  Having returned to operation following extensive overhaul the previous year, No.11 Maitland was also a regular performer throughout the year, being the only operational locomotive to carry the spring green livery.

After the season had concluded the station was once again mothballed for the winter with all work being carried out by volunteers as railway staff focused their efforts elsewhere.  All benches and signs were taken into the goods shed where repair works and repainting were carried out by the small but dedicated group in readiness for the next season.  Much time was also spent on restoring period signage and other smaller items.

The summer enjoyed long spells of warm weather, with No.4 Loch, No.11 Maitland, No.13 Kissack and M.N.Ry. No.4 Caledonia all seeing extensive use up until the last trains at the beginning of November.  The busy scene below shows three of the four operational fleet at the station during the Manx Heritage Transport Festival held at the end of July complete with the usual mix of headboards old and new with dining trains.

The year also saw much fundraising by the Friends Of... volunteers working towards the erection of the replica advertisement hoarding which at this stage was already granted planning approval and the main timbers posts held in stock awaiting further funding.  Smaller projects included new notice boards and continued peripheral work concerntrating on the platform areas and fledgling plans for a replica cattle dock among others.
