Station Wheelchair Access
The waiting room and booking office are both wheelchair accessible, and the platforms have ramps at each end for ease of access; there is a small step into the toilets making it impractical for larger wheelchairs to gain access.
The station car park is relatively flat and easily negotiated by wheelchairs, access onto the platforms via the paved at the rear features only a small kerb; station staff can assist you in gaining access onto the station.
If you wish to travel and leave your wheelchair behind, we have limited storage at the station, which is manned and/or locked up so all items are secure. Please ask the station staff should you wish to take advantage of this.
Train Wheelchair Access
The platforms at the station are relatively low compared to those at Douglas and Port Erin, but each train is equipped with ramps and the station has portable steps; we always endeavour to make sure everyone can enjoy the railway.
Station staff and train guards are on hand to assist with wheelchairs and mobility scooters, and these facilities are available on every train. Please ask with the staff in advance of your journey and we will endeavour to assist.
The majority of the carriages have single doors which are relatively narrow and not suitable for wheelchairs; each train has at least one set of double doors on most days which may mean travelling with the guard.
