A Year In Review
Monday, 31st December 2007
The year marked the centenary of the world famous T.T. road races and saw the introduction of a commuter train service on the railway across the two weeks of the racing period, the busiest the island had experienced for many years. These trains were extremely well received and operated across eight days (the period being book-ended by two public holidays) with naturally Castletown being the busiest location for passengers boarding each morning. All services were steam hauled, notably by No.8 Fenella.
