Walk Into The Town
Walk Into The Town
Leaving The Station
The Outskirts Of Town
Passing between the two public houses leads you to Victoria Road which connects to the town centre; take a right at this point and continue to the first roundabout, carrying on following the road (the junction to the right leads to the bypass); continue along the harbourside and you will shortly afterwards see Castle Rushen, around which the town spreads; crossing Thirtle Bridge will bring you towards the town, the road on the left taking you to the Nautical Museum.
The majority of this walk is on the flat and is approximately ten minutes in duration from leaving the station. Beyond the town via Queen Street (on the seaward side of The Parade) leads to Scarlett Point and the costal footpath (Raad Ny Follian or "Way Of The Gull". Taking a left from the station leads you towards Derbyhaven and Fort Island along the promenade, or left at the roundabout to the Military & Aviation Museum which is a ten minute walk.
