Transport Festival Success!
Transport Festival Success!
Sunday, 3rd August 2025
The 2025 Manx Heritage Transport Festival was once again well supported with the usual mix of special trains, headboards, dining excursions and peripheral events and the station was as busy as ever proving a popular location for the many photographers.
The station as ever was the regular crossing point for all service trains which commemorated the two hundredth anniversary of the very first railway by carrying Rail200 headboards for the event, No.4 Loch, No.11 Maitland, No.13 Kissack and M.N.Ry. No.4 Caledonia all in operation.
We are grateful to Otto Barlow and Tyler Hotchkiss for the accompanying images showing various scenes at the station across the five-day event including a photographic charter leading to this unusual view from the footplate of No.11 Maitland (left beside No.13 Kissack).
