As the final major work to conclude the extensive works carried out by Isle of Man Railways over the winter reported elsewhere, the new water tower has now been erected on the site and is now once again fully functional; the old one was time expired and has been removed.

It is presently being investigated how the Friends Of... volunteer group can finanace the stone cladding of this structure in order to give it an appearance similar to the original which was demolished many years ago, the previous steel tank being erected in 2002 temporarily.

We are hopeful to be able to achieve our aim within the next year working closely with Isle of Man Railways to ensure it meets with their requirements and makes another area of this historic site appear authentic and blend with its environs. The replica running in board pictured was provided by the group this year.
