Over the weekend the station played host to a rally of vintage engines, tractors and machinery from the Southern Vintage Engine CLub in cooperation with the Friends Of... volunteer group which was well attended; raising funds for both groups, the event was free to enter and saw vehicles around the historic site.
The event also showcased the significant works carried out around the site this year, including all new picket fencing and the surfaced car park, as well as volunteer projects including the all-new sigage, replica cattle dock and the redecoration the historic waiting room which remained ongoing at the time.
Trains were operating to the standard timetable with two trains in service passing here four times a day, No.11 Maitland of 1905 and No.13 Kissack of 1910 maintained services, with a dining service using M.N.Ry. No.4 Caledonia on the Sunday. The event was well supported throughout each day.
