The Friends Of... volunteer group, in association with the Southern & Vintage Engine & Tractor Club, on Saturday 16th  & Sunday 17th  August 2025 held their summer fundraising event on the site including refreshment and entertainment from Perree Bane, Balley Cashtal Brass, Manx Swing Dancers and displays of historical machinery around the yard.  There were also stalls including an instant raffle and cakes provided by our own volunteers and the model railway was open.

The railway was operating to Timetable “S” on the Saturday and Timetable “R” on the Sunday making for a variety of opportunities to arrive at the event and support the fundraising, a great way to help in our endeavours to commence work on the interior of the goods shed as well as support the railway with the proposed replacement of the water tower with an historical recreation of the original stone structure.
