The Friends Of... volunteer group, in association with the Southern & Vintage Engine & Tractor Club, on Saturday 29th  March 2025 the station played host to a rally of vehicles and agricultural machinery in the car park, area between the two buildings and along the platform as an opening event for the season which started the previous week.

The railway was operating to Timetable “R” on the day meaning there were trains at 10.27am, 12.27pm, 2.27pm and 4.27pm and the event was well supported, a great way to start off the season and raise awareness of the railway.  No.11 Maitland and No.13 Kissack were both in traffic. Poor weather did little to dampen spirits as many took to the opportunity to visit the site.
